(yeah, seriously, i counted-_-) so YAY for that!

we have decided on an outing at chinatown, which is a steamboat gathering. date and time have not been decided yet, cos we need to further plan to allow more scythians to turn up. and of course to do that, opinions and options are open.

A trip down memory lane

This was our most recent, the one where we all gathered after OTC and just went mad with our camp cheers. I thought that was the most :D to see so many of us still coming for camps such a OTC, to be GLs and stuff next year. Doing cheers, just gathering.. the bond.. aye it was awesome. And we were one of the biggest groups at that. (i think bigger than ophix but.. HAHA:x)
After OTC briefing, dinner opposite school @ KFC. Impromptu outing but we were really touched for those who turned up. We went around shouting for dinner outing and (: see, we're not dead kay. Quite a number turned up! Ty from Maybelle and I:D

Our Evan Almighty outing, where we were supposed to head to East Coast cycling but we all ended up at Cine, with Scythia shirts, FBTs (mygod the unglamness of it all), laughed a HELL lot in the cinema, walked through half of town before settling at Long Johns where the two retards Alex and Hong ling posed for the ads-_-

Scythia alldressedup day, where we dressed pretty pretty and the boys all so HAMSUM. (LOL) Dinner @ Marina before camwhoring a whole lot more at the Esplanade etc. And people in school were asking what were we so dressed up for haha. And the people at the restaurant thought we were a graduating class. Class of Scythia 0607!:D

Okay, so I can't actually find a shot of the outing we had @ Geylang (remember that one, where we walked round and round just to find this zhichar place), and in the end we all squashed into a tau hway shop where they even had to get extra tables and chairs for us so cramped in the back room.

@ Vivo, after the FOWFOC outing @ Sentosa. The day didn't start out too well (remember the final clash...) but it was damn fun after when we just ta pao food sit outside the atrium of Vivo and just ate on the floor hahaha. Then we had all sorts of games and forfeits and HANDIPLUS! (mygod my leg turned reddish purple.)

2 days after (LOL), after Week 0 orientatation, we still met up for dinner opposite school! I remembered we actually all abandoned our various respective classes and plans just to meet up for lunch. And, we all JAMMED and HOPPED after that. Happeningggg sial.

@PS, the next day-_- We had outings on a back-to-back basis sial. Arcade once again (we seem to love that place hahaah) and just laughing and playing outside the atrium area. :D

This was the daaaamn tad glam us @ Downtown east. Doing cheers outside the arcade, the Scythia long cheer, the PROG cheer, the GL cheers.... Mymy. And we were really glad the Scythians FOWFOC mingled(:

FO times. Brings back memories aye. A lot of you guys, from freshiest to GLs! Glad to see so many of you guys back for OTC this year(:

I did this entry as a so-called, flashback from the past kinda thing. An empire, not to mention, a group of friends with this many memories and good times together... It'll be damn wasted to just let it go. But we won't(: So.. outings coming up, do take note!

hey guys, eugene's taking initiative and planning a SENTOSA OUTING. details are as such:- friday 28th sept- 10-11am at harbourfront bus terminal (exact timings to be confirmed at a later date)- help post suggestions as to what kinda back-up plans we can use in the event of wet weather! though it would help to just pray for the rain to stay, away:D - also help spread the word around!

Few things on the agenda and a few reminders of the outings to come.

A Brief Intro On Voting

First things first, you guys would have noticed the influx of people suddenly asking you to vote for them. In case you're wondering "what the hell they talking about sial" its the TP wide elections held each year! Running for the main comm requires a voting system, which is done via e-polling at the SAA building [under your favourite hang-out spot lah. lounge]
As usual, our very capable Scythians are running and we do hope you'll vote for them(: We have our FA Yuting 148, HGL Farhan, Sub-empire head Derek running for TPSU- which means regardless of which school you're from, you can vote for them.
Then for BUSINESS STUDIES CLUB [BSC] we have, Song-master Ryan and our Scyron GL Maybelle. Only business students can vote for these 2. Each student is entitled to 15 votes for BSC, one vote per person for 15 seats, and 13 seats for TPSU.

In any case, i'm sure you guys would love to see them plan your future events and activities right! So your vote will be very much appreciated! To make things easier, we'll be meeting up for Scythia lunch, Tuesday 23rd, 1pm at Mushroom. Please help spread the word around! Either ways, its been long since we had a MASS empire lunch:D

Hey Scythia!

Firstly, on behalf of Maybelle, I'd like to say THANKYOU for showing up today! I'm sure it meant a lot to her, so thank you each and everyone for making it so special.
Haha, she's prob gonna blog to say her thank-yous soon;)

Secondly and more importantly, we're gonna have a SCYTHIA ALLDRESSEDUP day! Ooh la la~ Yes, its a day where the empire dresses up. Guys, long-sleeve please. And girrrls, pretty pretty dresses! Skirts, dresses, you know what i mean;) Semi-formal or formal, up to you. Saw what everyone was wearing today? T'was pretty, so next Friday or Saturday, we're gonna have this!

Please vote via cbox for whichever day. Some people are for Friday cos they think its a good idea to dress up for school and have people ask. Then you guys can answer we have a Scythia date! Personally, I think the idea's rather whacky. I LIKE;D Alternatively, we can have it on Saturday. (:

Itinery? Movie's out cos i think its rather costly, so a nice dinner [venue to be decided and updated at later notice] and perhaps a walk to the esplanade! Okay that wasn't my idea but quite cool ah.

I feel nuts myself. Either ways, the outing today was great. On behalf of all the GLs, we'll like to thank the freshies who organised it. *bows* This is really last minute but GUYS, THERE IS AN OUTING TOMORROW!

Hey SCYTHIA :D

Firstly, (although this is a lil late) CONGRATS to Farhan and all official Scythians for being chosen as HGL and GLs respectively! :)

Now Fazly and I won't be the ones you all will be looking to most of the time alr. Farhan as HGL, has been expected to attend all FO Meetings, seeing to the administrative and organisational work of our empire. Being the link between you guys and the main comm, i sincerely hope everyone will give him 100% support and more. Have already set certain expectations for him as the HGL and of course, Fazly and I expect a certain level from you guys as well.

During OTC, Fazly and I fell sick and were unable to perform at our best, do pardon us. But from that time, we already saw an independence in you guys that we felt rather proud of. Seeing you all change and strive to improve as the days past, made us feel that we really had nothing to worry about! Though we may not have conquered OTC, it's not of huge significance to us. For we have gained much more in other aspects, such as closer bonds, a marked improvement in attitudes, a fun experience, and much much more.

We have a lot of confidence in every single one of you, each with your own talents and smarts. With all that in abundance, we believe you people will march forth and create a damn kickass FO!!

Although Farhan has been chosen to take onthe role of HGL, please do not begin to develop the mindset that he is more impt than any one of you. Each and every one of you played and will continue to play extremely important roles as GLs. You are the direct link to the freshies and through you all freshies get to see a different side of poly, as they have nv before. WOW them with all your creativity and hype, IMPART your street-smarts, TEACH them how to make the best out of life in Poly, INTRODUCE to them what poly life can be/is like for them & you guys; INSPIRE them to want to be like you all , just like how most of you were inspired as a freshie. You all have what it takes to bring Scythia to the tops for FO, but let that not be the only and & main concern for this coming FO.

Past few outings, even for ALP and ytd's last outing, don't remember hearing anyone receive a full turn-out. I know tmr won't be too, but i really hope all of you will be committed enough to remember your responsibilities as a GL, as a TEAM.

Oh yes, speaking of which, as independent as you all may be. I wish to highlight certain things that I see are lacking sometimes.

Firstly, Discipline. The most basic forms of self-discipline are Punctuality & Respect. I don't mind if during outings, or with friends you are late, cause I myself have that bad habit too. haha. BUT! when it comes to business, please remember your role as a GL - to set an example for the freshies too, and be Punctual, if not Early. This applies to everyone of us, even Fazly, Farhan and I. I don't just refer to being punctual for games or any programme, I also emphasize this for the handing up of any forms or whatnot as well. As a team, constantly remind each other if you know you have forgetful mates. Next, Respect. Accord to everyone the amount of respect that you wish to be given, and also the amount that they deserve. No matter if it's Fazly, me, Farhan, any of your sub-empire heads, any fellow GLs, any freshies, Sub-Comms, Sub-Comm heads and Main Comms. Please cooperate and support both farhan and your sub-empire heads loads, for in the end they answer to us. Any problems that any one of you may have with another, please have everything solved amicably BEFORE FO. I want every relationship to start on a clean slate. Memories intact, but leave the misgivings out.

Secondly, Responsibility. Everyone of you all has a big responsibility to shoulder. The safety and enjoyment of the freshies and more. However, do not only apply this to your freshies. For example, I wish never to hear any last minute news (i.e. I have work/gathering with friends, and so i can't make it for this/that later.). None of this please. Honestly, these kinds of things are the most irresponsible stuffs. Anything to do with attendance or whatever, please ensure that you inform someone well in advance! (and if you tell a friend, please make sure your friend is responsible enough to let any one who is in-charge know). I believe I dont have to further emphasize on what other responsibilities you all require.

These are the main things to note. Tmr is packing day. Take this chance to bond since you've missed doing so during ALP. Oh ya. One thing, If at anyime, Fazly and I find anyone not performing or stepping out of line with freshies or other GLs or anyone, Know that we will not hesitate to ask you to leave immediately. Sub-empires have been divided. I hope everyone knows which group they are in. Sub-empire heads, please do take note of all in your charge.

Last but not least, remember - No matter how we are divided in sub-empires, we will stand tall and unite as ONE SCYTHIA. No matter how we are divided in empires, we all will stand together as ONE UNIT. :)

People, FO comes in 3 days or so. I'm excited, I hope you all are too. Give your best (do spread ard the 6 days), and lets show everyone who we really are! Scythia, let's make this FO an unforgettable memory for all of us and our freshies. I know you all will not disappoint Fazly or I. Work hard, Play hard :D
